Petanque, also called "boules" looks like the Italian bocce, but is played with smaller, metal balls. The aim is to roll or toss the metal boules as close as possible to a little wooden aim ball. Originated in the South of France, the game is now probably the most popular lawn game in Europe and spreading all over the world. |
